Description

Work to maintain fiber optic cable in telephone poles. Operate a bucket truck, working with lines at the top of the telephone pole. Your responsibilities are to have knowledge of every aspect of linework. Ex. install lines, repair them if damage occurs, and provide routine maintenance to poles, fix damaged fiber optic cable after a storm or in the case of power outages. Other duties include testing cables for performance issues, operating power tools to complete various tasks, and identifying defective equipment.

Salary based on experience:  

$37,440/yr - $65,000/yr · Full-time

Work Experience:

• Minimum 1 year pole climbing

• Minimum 1 year telecommunication experience

• Minimum 1 year operating equipment/bucket trucks/digger trucks
